Honolulu, HI- Local Nutrition/Supplement Review: Choosing the right pre-workout
When it comes to choosing the right pre-workout how do you chose the right one for you?
Most people who look for pre-workouts look for the strongest caffeine based product. However, sometimes strong is not the key to a great pre-workout. I always suggest you base your pre-workouts on your previous pre-workout. Always break it down in categories. How many scoops where you taking? How much caffeine was in the pre-workout per scoop? Was it mainly a caffeine based pre-workout or did it have some sort of blend of nitric oxide compound or any other focusing agents to make it more of a well rounded supplement.
Finding the right pre-workout that best fits each person can vary. Most people will look for a decent amount of caffeine in their pre-workout. I find a decent amount in a pre-workout should be around 200-300 mgs. I recommend that you look for one with a little nitric oxide compound so it can help open up the blood vessels and can flow better instead of being restricted. 6-8 grams of Citrulline Malate is a decent amount of nitric oxide that is recommended for a great pump. However, when pre-workouts have around 8 grams of Malate the servings size most likely will drop as well from 30 to 20 servings per container.
When switching pre-workouts always start with half a scoop of the new supplement if the caffeine content is a lot higher to avoid nausea, headaches, and crashing. I also recommend putting your pre-workout in the refrigerator to avoid clumping and help preserve your pre-workout as well.
When choosing the right supplement for you always ensure yourself it has a little of everything caffeine, pump and focus. for example its like having an all star player on your team you would always want to surround the player with a decent supporting cast so you can make him an even better player. Just like the pre-workout.
